Redesigning the future of marine transportation
AeroMarine Dynamics is developing an exciting range of ground effect vehicles (GEV’s) which will revolutionise marine transportation and operation. Power unit choices will include electrical or conventional configurations, including the use of e-fuels.
Operation doesn’t require the construction of specialist infrastructure, unlike traditional aircraft. GEV’s use significantly less fuel than aircraft because an airfoil is at its most aerodynamically efficient when experiencing ground effect, therefore delivering lower fuel consumption per nautical mile. GEV’s are faster than traditional marine craft due to having no contact with the water after take-off, thus eliminating hydrodynamic drag.
As is the case with hovercraft, GEV’s are classed as marine vessels, not aircraft, thus are subject to far less onerous operating conditions and regulations. Operators do not require pilot’s licenses across most of the world.
Multiple Variants Currently in Design Phase
4/6 seat private/recreational
8/12 seat passenger
30/40 seat passenger
Cargo version
Operational flexibility to suit multiple roles
Variants will be available fully piloted or unmanned versions which can be operated remotely/autonomously
Redefining maritime transportation
GEV technology could redefine
maritime passenger and logistic
transportation. In addition to
replacing traditional vessels on
existing routes, it will make travel
to remote places and hard to
reach areas simpler, more
convenient, safer and fast.
Passenger transportation (displacing ferries, water taxies) + Tourism + Cargo transportation + Logistics
Leisure craft + Maritime patrol + Oil and gas + Military + Search and rescue
